Futures has been awarded a contract from Ashfield District Council to administer a Digital Infrastructure Grant Scheme to support Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations that have premises in the Ashfield District.
The grant is designed to invest in new, or make improvements to existing, community and neighbourhood infrastructure, and support projects to enhance digital connectivity in and around Ashfield.
The improved digital infrastructure is intended to help VCSE organisations expand their offering in the Ashfield community, where otherwise there would be have limits placed on the support service users receive.
It will also directly support participants of Ashfield's Transform Your Future scheme. These are individuals over the age of 16 who are economically inactive and being supported to gain qualifications, soft skills and ultimately employment.
However, a high proportion of these individuals also face additional personal barriers, that will often be supported by the incredible array of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisations we have in Ashfield.
This Digital Infrastructure Grant will help in ensuring that you are equipped with the tools you need when service users make the significant step in asking for support.
The grant can be used to improve a range of digital infrastructure that will further facilitate your community work. We can support with costs such as:
The above list is not exhaustive of the support available however there are exceptions to the funding including; previous expenditure, exisiting contracts, capital building works and smart phones.
We will be offering grants which have a value of £2,500. There is no flexibility to go above or below this figure.
Funding is not guaranteed and organisations will be commissioned through an open and competitive process.
All applications must be received by 23:59 on 24th November 2024.
